Walter Savage Cooper (British painter) 1861 – 1943

Walter (often seen as William, which is wrong) was born in Kentish Town, London on 18th November 1861 to James and Jane Elizabeth (née Hayes) Cooper. He lived in Haverstock Hill, Hampstead at least between 1901-1911, and had moved to Althorne in Essex by 1916 (where he is credited in a local paper after the Great War as having designed the war memorial.
