Per Ekström (Swedish painter) 1844 - 1935
Per Ekström was a Swedish landscape painter.Ekström was born on the Swedish island Öland. He studied at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts in Stockholm 1865-1872. He lived in France 1876-1890. In 1910 he moved back to Öland. Because of his way of painting the sun and the air, he was often called Solmålaren (The sun painter).
