Georgy Alexandrovich Lapchine (Russian painter) 1885 - 1950
Georgy Lapshin studied under Fernand Cormon and Léon Lhermitte. His work remained traditional, with a hint of the light painting of the Impressionists, which is particularly evident in his paintings of sunlit Mediterranean landscapes. He exhibited in Paris, at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Salon des Indépendants from 1925.
