Hector Caffieri (British painter) 1847 - 1932
Born in Cheltenham Caffieri studied in Paris under the notable French artist Leon Bonnat (1833-1922). He lived for a while in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Northern France where he painted many coastal scenes and studies of French fisher-folk. He exhibited in Paris at Salon des Société des Artistes Français', in London at the Royal Academy from 1875 to 1901 and widely throughout the United Kingdom.
